Scientific Inquiry-How Do Animals Survive in Winter?

During the last two weeks, students have been answering the above mentioned question.  We learned that some animals "adapt" to their environment.  Some animals store food, some turn white like the snow in order to blend in thus camouflaging themselves.  We also learned from direct scientific observation that some animals grow thick fur in order to survive Connecticut winters.

A special thank you to UCONN's Museum of Natural History for lending us these magnificent pelts.
