Valentine's Day Update

Dear Families:

Some people have inquired as to Valentine's Day in Prekindergarten.  The children will decorate a small lunch bag during arrival choices and during snack time, if anyone has a card or small treat to give to a friend we exchange.  The bag is stapled shut and the children may bring them home.

I find that this is a nice way to have the children practice one to one correspondence and to rehearse saying thank you.  Plus, we get to show we care about the friends in our classroom.  This is completely up to individual families, do not feel your child must bring in valentines.
