Painting our homemade beads!

First, students were challenged with creating 10 beads.  Students work on painting beads made from modeling clay.  The clay work develops hand strength and supports fine motor skills.  The counting and counting out supports math skills and the painting supports aesthetic pursuits.
Children ask for what they need from friends.
Students counted out the beads as they made them, but after the beads dried, they worked together to paint all the beads, 290 of them!
Children traded paint pots to be able to paint various colors.
