Afternoon student earned a reward for Monday

Our class earns "owls" for following the three classroom rules.  Listening to the teachers, being nice to others and taking care of things in our classroom are behaviors that are recognized throughout the day.  Ten owls is the goal at the beginning of the year.  A tens-frame counting mat helps students organize their counting, assists with number recognition and requires students to use mental math when recognizing how many more owls are needed.
