Color Groups this week-Patterns, painting and shared writing

Attribute blocks and ABAB patterning.

Finger-painting with primary colors.  We'll soon be color mixing to make secondary colors.  Students selected either a circle or a square to paint.  

Shared writing means sharing the pen or in this case, the smelly markers.  Oral language is addressed as our group discussed ways to stay safe while riding in the car.  After I wrote their words, children were encouraged to "take the pen" and write their own  rules.  If you look very carefully, you'll see what they actually said written in pencil.
