Discovery Center is for the Birds!

Friends use our Goldfinch model to pretend to lay eggs in a paper bag nest.

Here a student illustrates her poem "Bird's Nest" by using a real nest as a model.  A parent in our afternoon class graciously donated the nest for our use.  I believe children benefit greatly when they have primary artifacts or close representations for their work and play.
