Writing their words.

Staff will often write a child's words that correspond to their drawing.  At this age, children are encouraged to "write" and most will either by labeling their drawings or writing above or below their picture.  As part of sound oral language instruction, staff will often recast language to increase a child's verbal output or to encourage the use of specific vocabulary.
